1. About ByteyTasks

ByteyTasks is a free web-based application created and maintained by Bytey Badger Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales. The application provides a personal task management and day-planning tool designed to run entirely within your web browser.

By accessing or using ByteyTasks, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

While we have developed ByteyTasks in good faith and with care, we do not warrant that:

• Any defects will be corrected;
• The application will meet your specific requirements.

You use ByteyTasks entirely at your own risk.

3. Data Storage and Responsibility

ByteyTasks stores all user data — including tasks, appointments, notes, checklists, and settings — locally on your own device, within your web browser's local storage. No data is transmitted to, stored on, or processed by any server owned or operated by Bytey Badger Ltd.

Bytey Badger Ltd. accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss of data, howsoever caused, including but not limited to: clearing of browser storage, device failure, software updates, accidental deletion, or forgotten PINs. The safeguarding of your data is entirely your responsibility.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bytey Badger Ltd., its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of, or inability to use, ByteyTasks;
• Any loss or corruption of data stored in the application;
• Any unauthorised access to your local browser storage;
• Any interruption or cessation of the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.

ByteyTasks, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the intellectual property of Bytey Badger Ltd. and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

You may use ByteyTasks for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the application without prior written permission from Bytey Badger Ltd.

6. Privacy

Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers, Bytey Badger Ltd. does not collect, process, or store any personal data through ByteyTasks. We do not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising within the application.

This website (bytey.co.uk) may use standard server logs for security purposes. No personal data is sold or shared with third parties.

7. Changes to the Service and These Terms

Bytey Badger Ltd. reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue ByteyTasks at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions.
